Sources state the association began out of a need for music therapists (who were often isolated, either by area or by population) to come together and share their experiences with other therapists who also felt isolated and unsupported at times. There were less than 20 documented members at that time. Today, there are over 80 music therapists in the Gulf Coast Region. Meetings have been held primarily in Houston, but have been known to meet in Huntsville and Galveston. Dues $2.00 Students $10.00 Professionals Mark Your Calendars! Our next GCMT meeting will be August 8th, 11am-1pm in the Woodlands. More details about the exact location will be posted as they become available.
